‘A Haunted House’ Sequel Dated for March 2014

Open Road has set a March 28th release date for A Haunted House 2. This particular series of films is new to the world as it debuted just four months ago. It was essentially Marlon Wayan’s R-rated version of Scary Movie with a found-footage slant and a really low budget. Much to everyone’s surprise, it was a big hit with over $19 million in its first weekend and $40 million overall. In other words, it was more successful at the North American box office than its PG-13 rival which had a bigger budget and bigger names. Reviews were slightly better, too.
